Caring For America

Please call Carolee Berglan, Chair 841-1732 with any questions.

The CCRW supports the following charitable efforts:

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) helps the needy or neglected children of Carson City. Your donations of a roll-type suitcase, duffel of bigger backpacks are given to CASA with a fleece throw and a “cuddly creature’ inside. The smaller stuffed animals are our “Court Therapy Comfort Critters”. A youth can choose the one they want to take into court with them. Thank you for caring.

The Northern Nevada Dream Center helps bring hope and relief to those who are needy in our communities.  They feed many people each month through their “Reach the Hungry” program; provide free items of clothing all year long; deal with those suffering from addictions and other life issues; bring fresh groceries to those who are isolated by physical or economic limitations; help with back-to-school needs; provide Dream Bags at Christmas and other holiday goodies; hold free workplace training and computer classes through “DC Hire,” and other caring services.

Paws Up For Veterans is all about helping combat veterans live with PTSD or TBI, or mobility issues. The Service Dog that he or she gets for FREE helps a Veteran transition back into everyday life.

Advocates To End Domestic Violence help women/men and children recover and “move on” from an abusive relationship. They can always use your donations of “gently used” clothing, household items, bedding, and towels. Call Carol at 841-1732 and she will gladly pick up your donations and take them to the Advocates Shelter. Thank you for caring!
