2021- NV Legislative Update

Hello Neighbor,
 
The 81st Nevada Legislative Session is half way over! 
For those who do not know, Nevada has Biennial Legislative Sessions that last 120 days.

I have been working very hard every day to represent you in the NV Legislature. I always uphold the Republican platform, and the conservative Republican values that we share.

Some Bad Bills that you should be aware of are:
 
SJR8- ERA/ Men competing in women’s sports- I voted NO on SJR8.
AB286-Firearms/ 2^nd Amendment Rights infringement- I voted NO,  I support our 2nd Amendment Rights.
AJR10– A Constitutional Amendment that Raises the Minimum Wage. – I voted NO.
AB395- Bill to abolish the Death Penalty- I voted NO- I believe we need to have the death penalty for limited  instances, such as the October 1, 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting.
AB351- Assisted Suicide/Assisted Death – I am a NO vote.
AB321- Election Bill to expand Ballot Harvesting and Universal mail in voting –$17.3 Million dollar fiscal note- I am a NO vote
AJR3– The Global Warming Bill – I am a NO vote
AB 376– Will make Nevada a Sanctuary State– I am a NO vote
 
 
Good Bills- I wanted to share with you information on a couple of my Bills-

AB102– For Disabled Veterans- Allows Nevada Veterans who are disabled and honorably discharged to enter NV State Parks for free. Camping, boating, and hiking. Passed unanimously on the Assembly Floor and is on its way to the Senate.

AB143- For Victims of Human Trafficking- Creates the State of Nevada Human Trafficking Coalition. Creates a statewide Plan for Victims of Human Trafficking, with Resources for victims of Human Trafficking on a statewide website. – Passed unanimously on the Assembly Floor and is on its way to the Senate.
