Carson City Republican Women’s Club Gubernatorial Debate
On March 15, the CCRWC hosted a Governor’s debate. The enthusiasm for this event was overwhelming with over 200 guests attending our luncheon. Candidates Dr. Fred Simon, Dean Heller, and Mayor John Lee participated. Michele Fiore was expected but was unable to attend at the last minute. Sheriff Joe Lombardo was invited but declined to attend. Joey Gilbert was also invited but had, a planned trip and was unable to attend as well. Our organization thought it would be enlightening to have a vote on who the guest believed performed the best. I have enclosed the tally of the votes for you to review. This event was hosted for the continuing education of the public; we want to elect the best candidate for Governor in the primary.

Our past president Janice Baldwin was the moderator, and John Vettel was our timer. The informative questions which were asked provided insight into their stances on a wide variety of subjects. We want to thank the candidates for participating and all the attendees for coming to our March Luncheon.
